Frequently Asked Questions Is it safe to pay by check over the Internet? Yes, it's actually safer than writing a check at a local store. Your checking account information is encrypted by sending it through a secure socket layer Internet connection which means that your personal account information is submitted in such a way that other Internet users cannot intercept it. Once at it's destination, your account information is immediately submitted via the Federal Reserve System's ACH network. Unlike payments one makes at retail stores, no human eyes even see your account information until it reaches your own bank for processing. Could someone hack into your site and get access to my checking account information? That's absolutely impossible since your checking account is NOT stored on our server. It's futile to hack into our site because one can't steal something that's not even there! How do I know that you won't process more payments against my account? We can't process another payment since we don't have the information to process it with. Again, we never see account information and it is NOT stored on our system! How soon will the payment show up on my account? Usually within 24-48 hours or one to two business days. How will it look on my bank statement? The transaction will appear as a "pre-authorized debit" from your merchant. How soon will the foreign currency show up at my doorstep? Unless otherwise noted, it takes seven to 10 days to receive the foreign currency. For trips planned in shorter amounts of time, please call our office. |
